LONDON IRISH have made a move to bring Scotland centre Huw Jones to the capital from Glasgow Warriors in the summer.
Edinburgh-born Jones, who moved to South Africa after leaving school, started his professional career at the Stormers before returning home three years ago.
Jones, who grew up in Kent, extended his Glasgow contract until next summer two years ago but has been speaking to the Exiles about switching to west London when it runs out. He rejected a lucrative £275,000 offer from Leicester Tigers to stay at Glasgow after the Scottish club topped the offer on the table from Welford Road but they can’t afford to match the terms this time around for the 25cap international.
