Furbank: One win and we’ll be on roll
NORTHAMPTON youngster George Furbank says his side are close to a breakthrough despite their losing streak extending to a thirteen games.
Starting just his second game at fly-half, Furbank had a solid outing for Saints, who ended up being well beaten despite a positive performance.
“We were in the game again, but penalties and silly decisions let them in. I thought we stepped up really well physically,” said Furbank.
“We knew exactly what was coming, but lapses in concentration let them pull away when we were really in the game. We are playing well but those lapses in concentration are an issue that we need to resolve.
“I don’t think we are doing too much wrong and I feel that once we get that win hopefully we can get on a roll.”
Leinster coach Leo Cullen said :“Northampton have to get a huge amount of credit. After starting well we looked pretty disjointed but a lot of that was down to Northampton, I thought they played well.
“We were a fraction off where we’d like to be today, but we got the bonus point win.”
