In awe of Matt’s work

A BIT of joyous news, an OBE for the incredible Matt Hampson whose ‘Get Busy Living’ centre up in rural Leicestershire is a monument to the vision, courage and perseverance of a great rugby man and a tribute to the many willing volunteers who bent their backs helping Matt achieve his dream.

TRP has been privileged to chronicle this extraordinary collective effort and the result is a cutting edge facility for the seriously disabled which also – with the ever present ‘gaffer’ setting the tone – has the friendly ambience of a seven-days-aweek rugby clubhouse where a laugh, a chat and a bacon buttie are as important as the daily rehab schedule. An admiring rugby community is in awe of your efforts, Matt.
