No rash decisions during lockdown

IS NOW really the right time to ringfence the Premiership? Here we are in Lockdown 3, closing in on a full year of restrictions, which is impacting on all, but possibly more so below the elite level.

With start dates for the Championship and National 1 moving to the right quicker than time, and only the elites allowed to play, the voices and rhetoric of pro-ringfencers appear to be gathering in both volume and confidence.

I question any such decisions being made during the pandemic and hope the powers that be understand the instant and long-term negative impact this would have on all aspects of the game!

A decision on promotion/relegation could be considered for this season alone across all divisions which would be re-evaluated as and when the long-term picture regarding playing becomes clearer.
