Robshaw faces op on injured shoulder

- By SAM JACKSON

CHRIS ROBSHAW’S debut for the San Diego Legion ended in agony as the former England captain suffered a dislocated shoulder in the 34-32 loss to

Houston SaberCats.

Robshaw had missed the first three rounds of the season while he served the remainder of a four-week ban issued by the RFU, but now faces the possibility of surgery.

“Not the debut I hoped for,” Robshaw said. “Unfortunately I dislocated my shoulder. Thanks to the medical team for putting it back in quickly.

“Time to rest, recover, and see what the scan says.”

Toronto Arrows ran in seven tries to overwhelm

Seattle Seawolves 52-7 and return to winning ways.

In a match officiated by former Premiership referee JP Doyle, there was a clear difference in quality between the two teams who started the season with back-to-back defeats.

The Arrows dominated from the outset, with Joaquin Tuculet, Ben LeSage, Ross Braude, Patrick Parfrey, Jack McRogers, Jason Higgins and Gaston Cortes all among the tryscorers for Toronto, who led 24-0 at the half.

The Seawolves had showed signs of a shift in momentum after pulling off a 20-15 upset over leaders Utah Warriors last week.

Elsewhere, RU New York were unfortunate not to heap more points on Rugby ATL, with the 27-17 scoreline flattering the hosts, while Austin Gilgronis edged NOLA Gold 18-15.
