Scarlets Williams set for shoulder surgery

WALES centre Johnny Williams will not play again this season due to a shoulder injury.

The 24-year-old suffered the blow in Scarlets’ defeat to Sale in the Champions Cup round of 16 earlier this month. Scarlets say he “will be targeting a return to action in preparation for the 2021-22 season” after undergoing surgery in the coming days.

Former England U20 star Williams has won three caps for Wales. He made his Test debut against Georgia in November.
