Hertford topple Tring to go top

IT’S all change at the top with Hertford moving into pole position following a 45-10 win at Tring.

Charlie Parkhouse with two, Ollie Cane, Francis Moore, Alex Banna, Josh Corcoran and Michael Sargent were try scorers for the visitors, with Kyle Lemon successful with five conversion­s. Ben Criddle went in for the hosts. Ben Hogan converted to add to an early penalty.

Sevenoaks moved into second spot, defeating Sidcup 33-10 with tries by Harry Galligan and Mark McRea who both bagged two. Ollie Shirtcliff landed one conversion and James Fotheringh­am two, with a penalty try to make up the score. Andre Patterson and Sam Leek crossed for the visitors.

Dorking, who had led the pack, dropped back to third after losing 19-12 at home to Westcombe Park. Matt Noble and Ryan Jeffery crossed for the home side, with Noble adding one conversion. Sam Rhodes, Matt Harrison and James Burton were try scorers for

visitors, with Jacob Buckley on target with two conversion­s.

Maidenhead were 45-14 victors at Tunbridge Wells. Ed Keohane, Jamie Townsend, Ben Mitchell and Chris Bart, both with two, were try scorers. Connor Grainey got three conversion­s and a penalty. Keohane added three conversion­s.

Wimbledon were 40-0 winners at home to bottom club CS Stags. Owen Davies, Tom Edwards, Ollie Kitto, Finn Taylor and Freddie Hooper crossed for tries. Davies kicked four conversion­s, to add to a penalty try.

Sutton and Epsom were 24-12 winners at home to Brighton with tries by Gareth O’Brien, Owen Clement and Michael Davies, all converted by Same Hurley, who also landed a penalty. Brighton got Sean O’Hagen and Pete Rogers over for tries, with O’Hagan kicking one conversion.

North Walsham beat Havant 21-12 with tries from Jordan Mustard and Dan Smith, with Matt Hodgson kicking one conversion and three penalties.
