BARGOED kept up their relentless form as they made it seven wins from seven with a 10-3 win over fourth-placed Narberth. A driving lineout try by Ronnie Kynes ensured the 2015 league winners maintained their 100 per cent record, extending the gap at the top to seven points.

Kings of the Championship Pontypool sent out a message to the table toppers with a five-star display thrashing Glamorgan Wanderers 50-3.

The Ely-based side couldn’t compete with the physicality of Pooler as they crossed for seven tries. A driving lineout try by Ashley Sweet and a 60m score that included six offloads, finished by Adam Stratton were the pick of the bunch.

Tries from Luke Haines and Damien James were not enough for Ystalyfera who went down 21-15 against Bedwas. A superb try from Lewis Bowden as he sneaked through a gap and a driving maul try by Matt Dwyer were the standout moments from a strong Bedwas side who now sit second in the table.

Neath moved up to third with a 34-19 win over

Maesteg Quins. Both sides were evenly matched in the first 40, but tries from Sion Crocker and Jacob Blackmore gave Neath a three point lead at the interval. Three second half tries, including a penalty try, ensured Patrick Horgan’s side made it four wins from five.

There were also wins for mid table Cross Keys and

Cardiff Met, while

Beddau secured their first victory of the season.

In Division One East,

Monmouth continue to struggle as they suffered an 18-26 loss to Bedlinog. The home side have now won only one of their six league games as tries from Craig Davies, Andrew Murphy and two by star man Sam Farer-Evans saw Bedlinog win their second game of the season.

Despite fine tries by Christian Davies and Ryan Evans, Crymych came away 29-14 winners against

Felinfoel with tries from Osian Hill, Matthew Freebury and Carwyn Rees in Division One West.
