Hertford win with Sargent at double

HERTFORD still top the table after beating North Walsham 35-18 at Highfields.

Aaron Bello, Conrad Edgar, Harry Barker and Michael Sargent, with two, scored the tries, all converted by Lloyd Davies. North Walsham got tries through James Riley, Connor Dudley and Ryan Oaks, with Matthew Hodson landing a penalty.

Dorking moved into second spot after a 55-5 maximum points win at home to Tring. Johnny Ellis, Henry Anscombe, Cam Cowell, with two, Tyler Norwood, Fred Dalton and Louis Flyn, also with two, were the try scorers, with five converted by Matt Noble, who also kicked a penalty. Ben Criddle was the sole try scorer for Tring.

Although Sevenoaks beat hosts Westcombe Park 24-22, they were unable to take the bonus point, so slipped back to third in the table. Westcombe Park’s crossed for tries through Josh Smith and Matt Harrison, with two. Cameron Hancock got two conversion­s and a penalty.

Wimbledon won 32-15 at Maidenhead with a brace of tries apiece from Jack Cook and Finn Taylor. Owen Davies landed three conversion­s and two penalties. Avery Smile-Tyson, Scott Prince and Jamie Townsend crossed for the home side.

Sidcup moved up a place after beating Tunbridge Wells 22-18 in the Thursday night game. The visitors won the try count with scores for Nick Doherty and Max Hobbs, converted by Finlay White, who also landed two penalties. The boot of Josh Twyford proved the difference with five penalties and the conversion of a try by Colby McMahon.

The Sutton and Epsom v CS Stags encounter was conceded by Stags.

Havant were 32-16 victors at home to Brighton with tries from Jake Hewitt, Sean Shepherd with two, Will Brock, Joel Knight and Rory Penfold. Knight got two conversion­s and a penalty. Stash Mulby got Brighton’s try. Tom Derrick converted and added three penalties.
