Curry is too hot as Hull march on

A CLINICAL and efficient Hull team secured a bonus point after just 30 minutes as they maintained their title charge.

With Cameron Curry leading the way, Hull were never seriously threatened by their hosts.

Head coach Gary Pearce said after the game “we were good in the first half and used the conditions really well and played in the right areas of the pitch.

“We played some powerful rugby. We gave Wharfedale full respect and stuck to their task really well and made things very difficult in the second half ”

Hull opened the scoring after four minutes with Latu Makaafi powering over. Dale struck back with a cross-kick taken by Harry Bullough to score.

Good following up and support play put William Hall over the whitewash, and Humberston­e added his fourth conversion.

It took 11 minutes of the second half before the visitors added to their score with a penalty.

Dale were growing into the game, and Rian Hamilton collected the ball on the right wing and made his way across the pitch to score on the left wing.

Hull scored a late try when a cross-kick found Michael Adlard in space and he crossed the line despite valiant efforts from the Dale defence.
