took full advantage of perfect conditions for running rugby to score seven tries and secure a comfortable victory.

The first half was tight and welll contested but Barnes opened up in the second half and put poor Rochford to the sword.

The visitors opened the scoring within seven minutes with a try by Jasper Cameron and the scoreline stayed the same until midway through the first half when Ashord Thomas went over for a try to take Barnes further ahead.

In the 28th minute Rochford scored when wing George Griffiths ran through for a try and the other wing man Chris Dudman converted but just before the break Barnes were awarded a penalty and Kirby slotted over.

The Londoners set about their hosts in the second half and Matthew Branfield scored a bonus-point try in 56th minute. Another try followed in the 68th minute when hooker Alex March went over and Kirby added the extra two points.

Kirby scored a try and also converted to make it 7-32. To rub salt into Rochford’s wounds Barnes scored two more tries late in the game from Jordan Souter and Pater Weightman, both converted by Kirby.
