Camborne show their class

- By MO SHER

LEADERS Camborne continued their relentless march to the title by easing past Drybrook at the Mannings Ground 31-10.

It took them a little while to get going against a side struggling for form, with a solitary Chris Fuca try in the first half.

But they showed all their class in the second 40 minutes, with Jon Drew going over twice, followed by Connor Gilbert and a penalty try.

The win extends their lead at the summit to a massive 18 points, with Drybrook – whose sole try came from Will Greenway – now 15 points adrift at the bottom.

Second placed Chew Valley are doing their best to stay in touch, dispatching Weston-super-Mare 47-13.

The red-hot Tom Bryan scored a hat-trick of tries, as well as six conversions. Lewis Thomas, twice, and Dan Gratton were also among the Chew scorers with Joe Burgess and Andrew Glen replying for Weston.

Brixham won their fifth game on the bounce by beating the Cornish All Blacks in a nail-biter at Polson Bridge, 18-17.

Mat Crosscombe and Jordan Green were their try scorers, Mitch Pinkus adding two penalties and a conversion to edge the tie against their mid-table hosts, who had Lloyd Duke and Brandon Rowley on the board.

At the Imperial Recreation Ground, hosts Exmouth were in imperious form against Old Centralians as they ran in ten tries in a 67-11 win.

Lewis Geran was unstoppable, bagging four in a fine virtuous performance, with James Clarke claiming three. Ben Hawley, George Meadows and Oli Cave also joined in on the fun.

And over at Regentsholme, Lydney prevailed against Ivybridge 22-10. Joe McLean, Henry Sleeman and Brad Dunn were all in on the act before the break for the home side and that trio of scores proved enough.
