Captain Fox leads the way to a final home win

- By BILL HOOPER

REDRUTH rounded off their home games with a bonus point win in the Cornish sunshine.

The Reds struck early when No.8 Chris Rovery took a quick tap from short-range, with Nat Dart adding the extras.

Try number two was not long in coming and fittingly it went to skipper Ben Fox playing his final home game before retirement.

Before the half-hour Redruth had a third on the scoreboard as centre Sam James powered over near the sticks, Dart again on the money with the conversion.

Dudley needed a score and they manged it through their forwards with lock Jess Smith powering over, Rhys Harper kicking a good conversion.

Dudley bagged a second try early in the second half when Ryan Smitheman crossed for an unconverted try.

Rhys Williams scored the bonus point try for Redruth following several phases near the Dudley line.

Centre James then bagged his second with the try of the game. He broke from his 22 and exchanged passes with Rob Dempsey who scored at the posts, Dart adding the extras.

Bailey Williams grabbed a sixth try before Callum Nicholls scored a consolation for Dudley with Cam Brown adding the extras.
