Baby of the Week.

-

Seth was born at Scarborough Hospital at 2.05pm on May 4 2014, weighing 8lb 4oz. Here’s what his mum says:

The parents ...

Stu Homer, 26 years old, BT Openreach engineer. Bek Homer, 32 years old, Financial Secretary.

The birth ...

My due day was April 22 so when there was no sign I was induced on May 3. Things were progressing nicely until he moved into a dangerous position. I had an emergency C section and he was born early next morning. It was very traumatic in the end but the result was amazing.

The baby ...

He was born with lots and lots of hair! We were very lucky, he was a great newborn, sleeping through from seven weeks. He is such a smiler and loves to wave. He loves music and dancing.

The name ...

We didn’t know we were having a boy but had a name ready for each gender. We loved Seth and Philip is in memory of my dad, Poppa Phil.

Favourite toy ...

He loves JoJo his giraffe and his Mr Tumble toy. He also likes his tambourine and anything that plays music.

Grandparents ...

Seth is spoilt rotten by both sides. His grandad and grandma Homer live in Dudley so we don’t see them as often as we would like. We give them regular updates. His nanny and grandad live locally and love having him stay over. I’m sure his poppa would be very proud.

Thanks ...

Thank you for the continued support from our family and friends and also thank you to the staff and midwives at Scarborough Hospital at the birth and the staff at Leeds General Infirmary when Seth was taken ill.
