Draw your Mum.

-

The Scarborough News is inviting local youngsters to show how much their Mum means to them. Children aged up to 11 can show how much they love their Mum in the run-up to Mother’s Day, which is on Sunday March 15, by entering our contest, with the chance to win a great prize. Just draw or paint a picture of your Mum and send it to us! The winner will receive a Flamingo Land family ticket. The competition is for children aged up to11. Readers will vote on their favourite picture and the top five entries with the most votes will go forward to a judging panel who will decide on the eventual winner. You can use pens, pencils, crayons, felt -tips or paint. Please use a sheet of paper or card no bigger than A4 size (which is 21cm wide and 29cm long).

Don’t forget to put your name, address, age, mum’s name and phone number on the back of the picture – in PENCIL please so it doesn’t show through to the picture itself.

Send your entry, or ask someone to send it for you, to Draw Your Mum, The Scarborough News, Newchase Court, Hopper Hill Road, Scarborough, YO11 3YS. Or you can email the picture as an attachment (minimum size 1Mb), including full details as above. Email to rebecca.lumby@jpress.co.uk, with the subject line “Mum Picture Scarborough”. The closing date is 11am on Friday (February 27), so get your pencils, crayons and felt -tips going now! Entries received after that day can’t be considered.

The entries will appear in The Scarborough News on Thursday March 5 along with details on how to vote, and the winner will be featured in the paper on March 12.

Normal Scarborough News competition rules apply and are available on request, or visit http://www.johnstonpress.co.uk/pplc/competition/
