That’s according to f l y- half Tom Harrison, whose two assists and three conversions helped f i re the Silver Royd men to a 26- 0 win a gai nst Blackburn and into a crunch shoot-out with the Midlands side for a place in the showpiece final at Twickenham.

Harrison, who is into his fourth season with the club, said: “I’d say this is the biggest game in the club’s history.

“I see this semi- final as the f i nal, I would take getting to Twickenham and losi ng, although i f we get past Bridgnorth I’m sure I’ll be saying something different.”

Scarborough went i nto their semi-final as underdogs against a rampant Blackburn side, who had scored over 800 points i n the North Lancs/ Cumbria League beforehand, but put in their best performance of the season to progress.

Harrison added : “They came with a big reputation, but we controlled the game superbly and didn’t let them into it.

“The support was fantastic, it was almost like a party atmosphere throughout the day and we need more of the same on April 4.

“It will be a tough game, Bridgnorth have averaged 45 points a game this season, but we will be well up for it again.

“To walk out at Twickenham with this bunch of lads would be great.”

Scarborough’s chief executive Graeme Young is keen to ensure the focus remains on the semi-final and not playing at Twickenham.

“It would be fantastic for us as a club to represent the town at the national stadium as the old Scarborough Football Club and Scarborough Cricket Club did at Wembley and Lord’s respectively, but we have a tough game in front of us,” said Young.

“The club had many big occasions in the 1950s and 60s and we made the semi-final against Billericay more recently, but if we made the fi- nal then I ’m sure we’d class it as the biggest game in our history.

“The support we had for the quarter-final was superb and hopefully the town will get behind us again on

April 4.”
