Seamer beat Eastfield to earn title win

title in their last game of the season with a convincing 6-0 victory against Eastfield Sports .

With Seamer knowing three points was needed to win the league, the team started strongly creating several chances in the opening minutes and closing their opponents down quickly.

The deadlock was finally broken after 10 minutes.

An attacking run down the right wing by Brandyn Cooper saw him put in a dangerous cross that landed at striker Aaron Holdsworth’s feet, who clinically buried the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

A second goal soon followed when the ball came to midfielder Blake Drury on the edge of the area, and he struck a perfectly-timed shot into the top right-hand corner of the goal.

The second half continued with Seamer on the front foot and any nerves for the home side were quickly eased with a confident finish in the penalty area from Scott Wilson to make it 3-0.

With confidence flowing further goals from Holdsworth and Drury put the game beyond doubt.

Solid defending from Jensen Bradbury, Leon Newton, Daniel Bentley and Shay Jones limited Eastfield attacking options, backed up by keeper Alex Chapman.

An outstandin­g left-wing display from Christian Boyes caused problems for Eastfield throughout, Jack Gomersall contributi­ng with a solid performanc­e down the right, backed up by gritty defensive midfielder­s Robbie Lang and Tom Miller.

Captain Lang, with a bursting run into the box in the last minute of the game scored the final goal and spark jubilant celebratio­ns from the players and parents.

Scarboroug­h Athletic under-12s kept their Hull Boys Sunday Football League title push alive with a 5-1 win at East Riding Rangers.

Boro netted a very early goal courtesy of some fabulous link-up play between Luke Rees and Max McNiven - the former neatly setting up the latter inside two minutes.

The Seadogs doubled their lead through an own goal that probably should have been credited to David Hayward for his fine work harrying the home side.

The tireless Oliver Jordan rounded off the scoring with an unstoppabl­e drive from distance into the left-hand corner.

Star man was awarded to Max Wright as the Seadogs play out their games in hand in the chase for the title.

Scholes Park Raiders under-11s claimed victory in both their games against Kirkbymoor­side on Sunday.

Ethan Daley-Smith opened the scoring for the Raiders in the second minute of the first game, slotting home after fine play from Elliot Woodall.

The hosts doubled their lead two minutes later with Daley-Smith turning neatly on the edge of the box before placing his shot past the Kirkby keeper.

An own goal made it 3-0 a minute later, with the Moorsiders pulling a goal back before the interval.

Man of the match DaleySmith complete his hat-trick after the break, with Joseph Chapman supplying the assist.

Chapman then finished neatly after a clever one-two with Sommie Lazim to make it 5-1, the visitors hitting a second goal late on.

In the second half, Park struck twice early on through an own goal and a Chapman shot, but the Ryedale-based side fought back with a goal either side of half-time to level the scores, the second coming from the penalty spot.

The home side regained the lead on 33 minutes, DaleySmith converting from the spot after Chapman had been fouled in the area.

A minute later Donnie Lee made it 4-2 but Kirkby struck again to stay in the game.

Star man Chapman struck late on to seal the win.
