Riders go bareback for funds
Calendar aids Air Ambulance
Scarborough Riding Club members have bared all in a cheeky calendar which aims to raise money for two charities.
Members of the Riding Club, 11 women and one man, posed for the calendar in an attempt to raise money for Scarborough Riding Club and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The riding club first created a charity calendar in 2002 and decided to bring it back this year due to its former success. The brave models have posed for every month of the year and incorporated their horses and riding gear into the photographs.
Local businesses sponsored each page and the pictures were taken amateur photographers.
Zoe Jenkins said: “The committee chose the air ambulance as it is a fantastic local charity that attends many unfortunate equestrian accidents.
“We’d like to thank the sponsors. We wouldn’t have been able to give 100 per cent to the charities without them.
“All the girls in the photographs and members of the Scarborough Riding Club are extremely brave and we are very grateful for their time.”
The pictures have been taken by Derek Baker and Paul Winspear local hobby photographers.”
The calendar was launched last month at the Scarborough Riding Club summer show.
The calendar costs £6.99, postage extra, and is available to order via the Scarborough Riding Club Calendar 2016 Facebook group.
