Knitting group helps dementia sufferers

A knit and natter group is using the products of its keen crafters to entertain the busy fingers of people with dementia. The AgeUK Scarborough and District group, which meets at the town’s library on Thursdays, has been busy knitting ‘twiddle muffs’ and presented more than 30 to the Alzheimer’s Society. Deborah Senior, at the Alzheimer’s Society, said: “We are very grateful to the members of the AgeUK Knit and Natter group for all their hard work.”
