Westway Open Arms are working closely with Scarborough and Locals Together (SALT) to put on a fabulous fair and fashion show in the run up to Christmas.

Holy Nativity Church, in Eastfield, will be transformed into a festive wonderland with the entire hall set to be decorated by the arts and crafts group for the event on Thursday November 12.

All of the clothes parading down the catwalk will be provided by SALT’s charity shop and will be on sale following the fashion show.

So far eight models, all local men, women and children, are lined up to take part in the fashion catwalk will each showcase three outfits.

The event will also host a raffle, stalls, a tombola and various festive activities.

Jan Wells, trustee at Westway Open Arms, said: “We at Westway Open Arms work closely with SALT and we thought it would be nice to do something in conjunction with them.

“Working together is an ideal situation, we get to know more people who need help and Christmas is a great time to do something.”

Tickets cost £3 and children enter for free and will be sold at the SALT charity shop, on Falsgrave Road, and at Westway Open Arms based at Holy Nativity Church.
