Church services

-

The Rev Alastair Ferneley will lead a service of Holy Communion this Sunday at St Hilda’s Church, Ravenscar, at 10.30am. There will also be Sunday School.

At the charity lunch held in conjunction with the faith week at Raven Hall Hotel, £401 was raised for the charity Engalynx which works in Rwanda. Maralyn Bambridge, the founder of the charity, was present, and explained how the outreach of the charity had continued to expand since the Rwandan genocide massacre of 1994. A maternity unit has been opened recently at Ntunvillage ga, and they are now raising funds for a new health centre; the cost of these two projects is in the region of £400,000.
