Library open day

Following the libraries consultation, Scalby and Newby library is on the North Yorkshire list of libraries due to close in February 2017 unless a community group comes forward to run it. A new group needs to form by Christmas this year in order to prepare for the take over.

There is an open day for anyone interested in knowing more on Monday October 19 between 3pm-6pm at the library. There will be library staff, Stronger Communities staff and some of the current volunteers available to talk to people.
