Quiz night

Interest in the Rugby World Cup affected attendance at the first quiz in the series held in the sports club on Saturday evening, with quizmaster James Armstrong setting the questions.

Winners of the general quiz and £11 were the Willerby Wasters, comprising of Becky Norris, Claire and Patrick Wharton. Winners of the picture quiz and £8 were the Staxton Globetrotters, including Steve Edwards, Rachel, and Peter Watson. Winners of the bingo quiz and £5 were the Lowfielders, including Glynis Davies, John and Ruth Armstrong and Edwin Cooper. Winner of the raffle and £5 was Steve Edwards, but he could not call the cards for £50, neither did Mick Witty for £40, John Armstrong £30, Sue Drury £20, Tanya Moore £10.

The next quiz in the series will be held in the sports club on Saturday October 31 commencing at 8.30pm.
