Help for CAFOD

On Thursday last week, the parish priest at St George’s Church, Fr Andrew Smith, along with his two brother priests from St Mary’s Priory, Fr Martin and Fr Thomas, concelebrated holy mass with the congregation at St George’s Church, offered for the poor and destitute people of the underdeveloped countries of this world.

After the mass an austerity lunch was held in the hall which was fairly well supported and consisted of soup, bread and cheese. £200 was raised which is being sent to Cafod (Catholic Fund for Overseas Development). Eastfield Day Care Centre, Eastway, every Friday from 1.30pm-3pm. No appointment necessary, everyone welcome.
