Whist drive

A military whist drive was held in Cayton Village Hall and raised £22 for village hall funds.

The MC was Bob Cowton and five tables were in play.

Whist winners: 1) (cut table) T Davies, B Cowton; 2) Mr and Mrs J Brownridge, Mrs B Rodgers, Mrs M Scott; 3) R Warman, Mrs P Watson, Mrs M Johnson, J Calam.

The raffle was organised by Trevor Davies and the winners were Mrs P Watson, Mrs A Cross, Mrs M Johnson, Mrs P Johnson, B Cowton, Mrs M Scott, Mrs E Brownridge, R Warman, Mrs B Richardson and Mrs S Wardle.

The refreshments were prepared by Mrs Ann Dowson and served by members from the drive.

The MC thanked everyone for their support, help with the running of the drive; refreshments and donations towards the raffle.
