Successful concert

The first meeting of the Scarborough Ladies Lifeboat Luncheon Club is on October 20 at the Red Lea Hotel, the speaker is Ann Johnson with ‘Ann Johnson Entertains’. Anyone wishing to bring a guest or are not able to attend a lunch should contact Mrs G Freeman, chairman, on 01723 366630 before 11am on the Saturday prior to the meeting.

A very successful concert by the Rothwell Temperance Brass Band was held on September 19 at the Salvation Army Citadel, raising a total of £2,260 for the RNLI. Many thanks to Nigel Wood who organised the event, and a big thank you to the Salvation Army for their very kind support.

Our next event is a dinner dance at the Red Hotel on October 18. Tickets cost £29.50 for a four-course dinner and you do not have to be a guild member to attend. For further information and tickets please contact the chairman on (01723) 366630.
