A stunning display of knitted poppies is on show – and on sale – at Sainsbury’s in Falsgrave Road thanks to a kindhearted member of staff.

A stunning display of knitted poppies is on show – and on sale – at Sainsbury’s in Falsgrave Road thanks to a kindhearted member of staff. Karen Punter, pictured, right, with colleagues Marie Haynes and Phil McMillan, knitted 1,000 poppies with help from family and friends. They are now on sale for £2 each from the customer service desk in aid of the Poppy Appeal, which starts on Saturday. Karen also supported the campaign by knitting hundreds of poppies last year.
