Latest teaser for the Dad’s Army movie

The latest teaser for the new Dad’s Army feature film has been released.

Dad’s Army, which is due to be released in cinemas on 5 February 2016, was filmed at a number of locations in the Yorkshire area including Beverley, Bridlingto­n, Flamboroug­h, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

The film saw residents and visitors flock the streets to catch a glimpse of filming in action with stars such as Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Tony Jones, Michael Gambon, Tom Courtenay, Blake Harrison and Bill Paterson.

The East Riding Theatre in Beverley was used for the drill hall where Captain Mainwaring – played by Toby Jones – puts the Home Guard through their paces.

The poster was unveiled on the Dad’s Army Movie Facebook page stating: “Britain’s finest hour needs Britain’s finest men. Don’t panic... the brand new Dad’s Army trailer launches this Thursday!”

The original TV show ran from 1968 to 1977 featuring more than 80 episodes across nine series and attracting 18 million viewers at its height.
