Spooky fun set to raise monster sum

-

A hospice nurse is organising her own Halloween fundraiser for Saint Catherine’s with an afternoon of spooky fun. Lesley Hirst, a nurse with the new Hospice at Home team, is hoping lots of people will turn out to support her event and help her raise a monster sum for Saint Catherine’s. Her event at Cayton Jubilee Hall on Saturday 31 October will run from 2pm to 4pm with children’s activities, craft stalls, cakes, a tombola and raffle. Entry is £1, including refreshments, and children go free. Lesley said she loved dressing up for Halloween and was planning a fun afternoon to raise essential funds for patient care. “I’ve been with the Hospice at Home service since it launched in January and I can say from the heart that it’s amazing,” she said. “I feel very privileged to work for Saint Catherine’s. “The Halloween event is just my way of helping the hospice continue its work.”
