Light up a Life this Christmas in Filey

This year’s St Catherine’s Hospice “Light up a Life” service in Filey will take place at Filey Methodist Church on Tuesday December 1 at 6pm.

Everyone who attends the hospice’s special services will be given a candle to symbolise their own personal Light up a Life which they can then take home to light again with their families over Christmas.

Debbie Kay, organiser of the Christmas appeal, said that everyone would be welcome at their hospice services.

“We know that Christmas is a time when families who live away come together,” she said. “The act of taking home a Light up a Life candle will give everyone the chance to share a special moment of remembrance.”

Candles and a tree of lights will be lit during each indoor service before people leave with their own personal Light up a Life.

Donations in memory of loved ones can be made online at www.stcatherin or by completing a form available from the hospice or any of its shops.
