As a whole: North Yorkshire’s results
North Yorkshire’s GCSE results as a whole place the county in the top 20 per cent of 150 local education authorities nationally, maintaining the position from 2014. Maths results at GCSE place the authority top in the region.
County Councillor Arthur Barker, North Yorkshire’s executive member for schools, said: “Our young people and school staff work extremely hard to reach these very high standards and we must congratulate everybody on their GCSE and A-level results.
“These results are a testament to the very strong teaching in North Yorkshire schools, the partnership between schools, teaching school alliances and the local authority as well as the strong partnership with parents and families.”
