Committee meeting

Mr P Gabriel was in the chair at the recent meeting of the village hall committee, also in attendance were Miss De-la-Porte, Mrs D ScottHawkin, Mrs A Gabriel, Mrs R Armstrong, Mr J Heath Mr E Cooper. Apologies were received from Mrs G Davies, Mrs J Keegan, Miss S Hiley, Mrs E Oates.

The accounts since the last meeting were favourable. An account from Mr A Wharton for pointing the redundant east chimney was paid.

It was agreed that an Advent carol event should be held with free admission and refreshments on Sunday November 29 from 6pm-8pm. It was suggested that a programme of planned maintenance and development, to include repairs and decoration, testing of the electric wiring and funded by budget, that could be reviewed annually.

A questionnaire is to be compiled and circulated to all houses in the parish in the New Year, requesting information from residents, relating to what events they would like to see and would support in the hall. The next film show will be held on Wednesday November 4 commencing at 2pm, admission £4.

The next bangers and mash lunch will be held on Saturday November 14 starting at 12.30pm. Adults £4 with children £3.
