Scalby hot-shots hit magnificent seven

Scalby under-16s continued their impressive form on Sunday, making it five clean sheets and wins in their opening five matches after beating Holt FC Filey 7-0.

Against a determined and improving Holt team, Scalby took the lead after half an hour when Brendan Diston rifled in from the edge of the area.

Ross Lazenby then made it two on the stroke of half-time with a superb individual goal.

The second half was more open with the pace of Callum O’Keefe and man of the match Josh Williams causing Holt endless problems.

Williams helped himself to a brace and Matty Bourne scored a fine second-half hattrick.

Holt threw everything at Scalby but their defence stood firm yet again.
