Filey and Hunmanby groups benefit from community funds
A number of grants have been approved by the Filey Community Fund and Hunmanby Community Fundformerly known as the Area Committee grant.
The decisions were made during two meetings at the Evron Centre, which took place last Thursday and Friday.
Filey recipients include: Filey Ladies Monday Club – Funding towards the production of an “Album of Memories” (£714); Filey Community Sports Club – funding towards new goal posts (£732.60); Filey Cricket Club – Funding towards new wicket cutter and strimmer (£771.10); Filey Town FC – Funding towards new goal posts (£771.10).
Hunmanby recipients include: God’s Acre – Financial information was mis-stated on the report to councillors and this was highlighted and agreed at the meeting.
The request was for funding towards new pathways in the cemetery (£700); Hunmanby In Bloom – Funding towards replacement and planting of barrels (£1,293); Hungate Court Volunteers – Funding towards purchase of gardening equipment (£208.20); Hunmanby Parish Council – Funding to reprint Hunmanby Heritage Trail leaflet (£450).
