Methodist church

The service today was organised by members of the church and the theme was the old testament stories we learned at Sunday School and the hymns and songs we sang.

The service started with the congregation saying together the Sunday School prayer. Bible stories were read by Denise Earnshaw who read the story of Noah, Mandy Clayton read the story of David and Goliath, Eileen Burn read the story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den and Sheila Gray told the story of Jonah. Margaret Neave accompanied the singing on the piano and Sheila Gray took the collection. Jan Blower gave the prayers of adoration and Bob Jackman gave the prayers of intercession. Dave Burn and Margaret Neave reminisced on chapel anniversaries and outings they had taken part in when they were young. The service closed with the grace lead by Bob Jackman. Refreshments were served after the service by members of the church
