YCA meeting

Caroline Nuiff was the guest speaker at the October meeting and presented a very interesting slide show about Japan and its culture, which she and her husband had experienced while visiting their daughter who was living there while learning the language. Following the slide show tea and coffee and homemade cakes were enjoyed by members.

The autumn supper which was held in Folkton and Flixton Village Hall was a great success with over 60 people supporting this event. Free Folk provided the entertainment for the evening which had been by popular request. A raffle was held and all the proceeds are to be donated to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The next meeting of the YCA will be on Tuesday November 3 in the village hall at 2pm, when arrangements will be made for the Christmas afternoon tea, all are very welcome.
