Mental health strategy
A new strategy has been launched to champion mental health and wellbeing in a bid to support people in Scarborough and across North Yorkshire. The strategy, called Hope, Control and Choice, has been created by the North Yorkshire Health and Wellbeing Board in partnership with service users and professionals and draws on the work of North Yorkshire County Council, the NHS, North Yorkshire Police and voluntary sectors. Mental health problems are estimated to cost the UK economy £105 billion.
