Autumn beach clean in the South Bay

Surfers Against Sewage are organising an autumn beach clean at Scarborough’s South Bay.

Across the UK, 150 autumn beach cleans are taking place to tackle marine litter head on and help to “close the loop on marine plastics”.

All beach cleans are being led by a local lead volunteer.

Surfers against Sewage are calling for coastal communi- ties to show their support by heading down in their thousands to remove 15 tonnes of trash from tide lines and recycle over 10,000 plastic bottles and cans.

Scarborough’s South Bay clean will take place on Saturday November 7 between 3pm and 5pm.
