- SCABROROUG­H DANCE FESTIVAL, THE SPA

Wednesday November 4 to Saturday November 7 Organisers of this year’s Scarboroug­h Dance Festival have added a new series of events to this year’s programme, which will be held at Scarboroug­h Spa on November 4 to November 7.

Guests will be invited to ‘Learn to Dance’ at four separate morning events through the week, which feature dance teachers Gary and Gwenda Cole.

The classes have been requested by previous festival goers and are aimed at those who would like to learn or maybe even return to the world of dancing.

Gary and Gwenda will provide a basic introducti­on for ballroom and Latin American dancing.

Sessions will not only be practical and worthwhile but also provide a happy and enjoyable atmosphere.

For the Saturday morning session the dance floor will be set for Salsa Special! Dedicated Salsa dance teachers will be on hand to show you the art of this quick, fun and sensual genre.

Dance classes take place 4th to 7th November from 10.45am to 12.30pm.

The programme: Wednesday – Cha Cha and Waltz

Thursday – Social Foxtrot and Jive

Friday – Quick Step & Rumba Saturday – Salsa Tickets for ‘Learn to Dance’ are priced at £12 per session or £30 for all four.

fter wowing the Edinburgh festival earlier this year, gaining a number of five star reviews, Richard is now going on tour and will call in at Whitby Pavilion on Saturday July 10.
