In a scrappy first half Cayton were creating all the openings before Tom Hutchinson made it 2-1.

Harry Groombridg­e then stroked in number three with Mike Cairns adding a fourth before half-time.

Nock grabbed his second and Cayton’s fifth before Kirk- by made it 5-2.

Heslerton under-12s put i n their best display of the season, with a gritty 1-0 win against a classy Seamer side.

The hosts were under pressure from the first whistle, with Ihsan Eroglu having to work hard in midfield and defenders Tom Owen and Josh Robertson holding firm.

Wi t h th e g a me s wi n g - ing Seamer’s way it was the outstandin­g Robertson who cleared spectacula­rly off his own line with a sliding tackle.

Then the impressive Dav- id Hebron started to make inroads into the visitors.

With t he game heading for a draw Heslerton threw on Charlie Thompson, who weaved through the Seamer defence to slot home and steal the win with 10 minutes to go.

Heslerton under-11s visited West Pier and put up a great fight in a tight match.

Man o f th e matc h wa s awarded to Sam Farkas for another outstandin­g performanc­e in goal.

Heslerton s corers were Charlie Richardson, Jo Pearce and Billy Keough with two, but it wasn’t enough.

Special mention to George Heap and Ethan Orange for constantly battling hard.

Heslerton displayed great teamwork with strong defending from Jak Dixon and Jessica Dade, who was making her debut for Heslerton.

Heslerton Pirates undereight­s put in a battling display when they hosted Scholes Park (pictured right in action).

Both sides created chance s , Ol i ve r Dade p ro duc e d some fine saves for the hosts before Park took the lead in the second half.

Malachey Kendrew had a great chance to equalised but shot just wide.

Jack Smith was man of the match for the Pirates.
