Scarborough Athletic jointboss Paul Foot i s keen f or his side to stretch their twomatch unbeaten run when they visit Glossop on Saturday.

Boro’s victory on Saturday stretched this run to two games, as the Queensgate club finally began to advance up the Evo-Stik North table.

Alex Metcalfe scored two of the goals, while youngster Jackson Jowett bagged the other.

As well at Metcalfe, there were also appearances for Joe Lamplough, Alex Peterson, Joe Fox and Matty Bloor.

Foot said: “It was good for these lads to have a run, it just underlines how useful the under-21 set-up is.

“L a mpl o u g h , Met c a l f e and Peterson will all be in the running for this week’s game at Glossop after getting some minutes under their belt.

“Fox and Bloor got 45 minutes i n as well, which will move them closer.”

Glossop l eft Queensgate earlier this season with a point after a dour goalless draw, but Foot is hoping that the win at Trafford will give his side the confidence to capture all three points this time out.

He a d d e d : “We a re u nbeaten in two at the moment, which is a start for us.

“There is no doubt that a trip to Glossop will not be an easy game, but I don’t mind that because our lads lift their performances for matches like this one.

“If we can build on the win at Trafford and the confidence that gave us with another good performance then that would be great.

“If we can get something then that would set us up perfectly for the game against New Mills.

“It is all about getting a run going now, that i s what we need to focus on.”
