TALK TO US
Dear Reader
As we get braced for four months of dark, chilly nights, Scarborough can at least look ahead to a bright spring with the near-completion of a new leisure attraction, the next stage of building blocks that will eventually see a new hotel and cinema that will have the potential to spiral the town upwards. Together with the arrival next year 0f a new sports centre, pool, and a new stadium for Scarborough football to finally come home, plus the University Technical College, and the developments by Hull College and uni, and Coventry uni, these collectively will transform the landscape of Scarborough. In 12 months from now, the new constructions will bring in a new wave of people and provide better facilities for residents who have seen the town go backwards in many ways over recent years. Hand-in-hand with these changes should be a strategy to improve the physical environment and get rid of the grot-spots, especially in the Old Town. Ed Asquith, editor Twitter@ Ed. Asquith
