Secure letterboxes

-

Newby and Scalby Parish Council is working with North Yorkshire Police to make it easier to report incidents.

Due to concerns that incidents within the parish are not being reported. Secure letterboxes have been provided at various shops in the area, so you can also report anything you feel the police should be aware of by completing one of our forms. It can be a parking issue, burglary, theft or suspicious incident or anything you feel they should be aware of. The best advice is don’t ignore it, report it.

Simply go to one of the places listed, write brief details on the forms provided and put your completed form in the small letterboxes provided. The boxes are emptied by the police. Please note that these secure letterboxes are an extra service and do no replace the police’s 101 contact number. The locations are: Newlands Post Office, Newlands Park Drive; Proudfoots, Scalby Road; Scalby Library; Scalby Stores and Newsagents; Silk’s Fish and Chips, Newby.

Feedback on your experience can be given to the police by dialling 101 or the parish council by contacting (01723) 354018.
