Beauty of Burton Agnes

A tranquil treat was served up to Filey Probus Club members at its second meeting in October.

A colourful video, produced by member Stan Witty, featured the history of Burton Agnes Hall and its surroundings. It also focused on the beauty and tranquillity of the gardens and the key role played by agriculture which had sustained the area for 1,000 years.

The club, for retired professional and businessmen, will hear a talk on a trip to Tanzania at its next get-together on Wednesday November 4.

The speaker on Wednesday November 18 will describe a journey across Europe in a Bedford van.
