A fund day at Evron Centre
Voluntary organisations, community groups, charities and social enterprises in the Scarborough Borough and Ryedale District are invited to a “Meet the Funder” event in Filey on Friday 11 November. The event offers local organisations the opportunity to talk face-to-face with national, regional and local funders, receive one-on-one advice and find out what grants are available. Representatives from Coast & Vale Community Action (CAVCA) and the Big Lottery Fund will be there to offer information and support.
The Evron Centre on John Street in Filey is hosting the fair between 11am and 3pm. It’s free of charge and appointments aren’t necessary – groups are encouraged to pop in on the day and refreshments will be provided. Groups looking to apply to Reaching Communities are advised to let organisers know and a one-to-one appointment with a BIG Lottery representative.
Kevin Hollinrake, MP for Thirsk and Malton, said: “This could make all the difference to new voluntary groups and organisations as they strive to get off the ground and to more established ones looking to expand and create new services, activities and job opportunities.” Mr Hollinrake will be attending the event in the morning.
