1 GERVASE PHINN. The
bestselling and award winning author, Radio and TV personality will visit Scarborough Spa Theatre on Friday November 4 at 7.30pm. 2 VINTAGE AFTERNOON TEA. Introduced last year and now immensely popular, Vintage Afternoon Teas take place in the Orangery, Sewerby House and Gardens, on every first Tuesday of the month. Accompanied by a classical pianist, the teas include a selection of finger sandwiches, a home-made scone with jam and cream, a selection of cakes and tea or coffee.
3 GRUBSTAKER.
A dark comedy brought to the stage using crime proceeds from convicted loan sharks will tour the Scarborough area. Grubstaker was commissioned by the Illegal Money Lending Team and marked the first play for York-born writer S Alexander Briggs. It will now tour to Scarborough’s Rainbow Centre on Tuesday November 8; Scout HQ at Loders Green, Eastfield on Wednesday November 9; the Evron Centre, Filey, Tuesday November 22 and Whitby’s Coliseum Wednesday November 23.
