Tributes paid to lifeboat volunteer
Tributes have been paid to popular Scarborough RNLI volunteer Barrie Evans who died following a sudden illness. Barrie, 78, had been the charity’s collection box secretary since 2014. Michael Turner, lifeboat shop manager, said: “Everybody liked him. He was very good with customers. He was marvellous and always very helpful.”
