Bingo club spreads festive cheer with donation of gifts

-

Santa’s little helpers at Mecca Scarborough have been spreading some festive cheer this Christmas by donating gifts to Scarborough Hospital.

Regular customers Betty Acklam and Gladys Stephenson, pictured, were among those who helped collect and donate presents for the children’s ward.

The club has been working hard across the festive period, and thanks to generous team members and loyal customers the number of gift donations received was overwhelming.

Katrina Cushnahan, operations manager at Mecca Scarborough, said: “Christmas is all about sharing which is why we felt it was important to do our bit and help out a great local charity like the Duke of Kent Children’s Ward, which does so much to help the community.

“Our team members and customers have been extremely generous and thanks to them we’ve been able to help those less fortunate experience that warming festive Christmas feeling.”

To get into that festive feeling, the Mecca Bingo team in Scarborough is also hosting a series of fun-filled Christmas competitions throughout the 24 days of Christmas.

Customers can experience that winning feeling all month long by getting their hands on all kinds of prizes from hampers and Christmas stockings to scented candles and free games of bingo.

To attend a Mecca Club you do need to be aged 18 years or over and be a customer of Mecca Bingo. Joining is free of charge and you can sign-up online or at Mecca Scarborough.
