Featuring the vocalist Rich Adams with Dave Kemp on saxes, Mark Gordon on keyboards, Bob Walker on bass and Tom Townsend on drums.

Doors open at 8pm and music begins at 8.45. Admission £5.

Another band has been announced for this year’s Scarborough Jazz Festival, thanks to the Jazz North Introduces scheme.

Wandering Monster have been awarded the opportunity to perform at a number of high jazz festivals across the north, including Scarborough Jazz Festival which takes place from Friday September 22 to Sunday September 24.

The band is led by double bassist Sam Quintana.

“The festival has always been a mix of experienced top jazz musicians and lesser-known bands,” said festival director Mike Gordon.

“I have always felt it important for the future of jazz to encourage innovative young musicians and the Jazz North Introduces scheme allows us to do this.

“We have supported the scheme for some years and the bands, handpicked by a very knowledgeable panel, have always been immensely popular.

“There’s always the chance you will be listening to tomorrow’s international stars.”
