Queens of Castle scoop Yorkshire top 50 accolade
‘Fastest-growing’ boost for recruitment firm
Castle Employment in Scarborough is celebrating after being named among ‘Yorkshire’s Fastest 50.’
It caps a run of success for the area’s longest-standing recruitment agency, which has included director Kerry Hope winning a Business Person of The Year award and managing director Suzanne Burnett scooping the prestigious Scarborough News Business Woman of the Year award.
Also last year, the winner of the Apprentice of the Year and Business Admin Apprentice in Accountancy was Bethany Rowley, who trained at Castle.
The ‘Fastest 50’ is a list of the fastest-growing companies in the county, compiled each year by UK Top 100 law firm Ward Hadaway.
James Martin, managing partner at Ward Hadaway, said, “Congratulations to Castle on their achievement in making this year’s list.”
Suzanne Burnett, MD of Castle for 20 years, building the business from two employees to 26, said:“This is testament to the hard work of the whole team and I’m absolutely delighted.
“It’s also an indicator of the health and vibrancy of the Yorkshire economy, and the pool of talent that exists in Scarborough and the surrounding area.”
Castle, who were included on the list for consistent turnover growth over the past three years while remaining profitable, will now go forward to the Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 Awards on March 17.
